Meet Barbara Sordina

Architect & Industrial Designer | Milano, Italy

Barbara Sordina—born in Padua, trained in applied arts and design—has built a diverse and thoughtful career that bridges industrial design with interior, architecture, and graphic work. After early experience in studios like Bonetto, Cini Boeri, MTM, and Avant Garde Studio, she joined Studio Marianelli Design in 1992, and in 1998 co‑founded Marianelli Design with Cesare Torno and Emanuele Villafranca. She leads the studio’s industrial design department, bringing elegance, usability, and a poetic sensitivity to each piece.

Her work with Zucchetti AquaBlu reflects her design values: clean yet expressive forms, attention to function, and simple gestures that carry emotion. From overhead and wall-mounted showers with anti‑lime finishes, to sculptural taps, soap dishes, towel rails, and functional accessories — her contributions imbue everyday bathroom rituals with beauty and clarity.
