Background & Philosophy
Monica Armani is an Italian architect-designer born in Trento, Italy, and splits her time between Trento and Milan.
Her design approach is deeply influenced by her father, Marcello Armani, who was active in Italian Rationalism, and who instilled in her a discipline for structure, form, and clarity.

She often describes her working method as “Design in Molecules” — a way of balancing the intuitive and the rational, combining “magic & logic” in her creative process.

In her work, she integrates industrial design, architecture, and interiors — with careful attention to spatial harmony, formal purity, and technical innovation. 

Her aesthetic favors the reduction of elements and clarity of shape; she often references geometry, balance, and a “less is more” philosophy in her design language. 

Over more than 25 years, her studio (in partnership with Luca Dallabetta) has delivered works across product design (furniture, lighting, objects), architecture, interiors, and temporary structures (exhibits, pavilions).
